She competed in the Miss Georgia pageant in 1995 and finished as the fourth runner-up.

Profession of Amy Robach

Robach began her professional life at WCBD in 1995. After that, in 1999, Robach left the station and began working at WTTG in Washington, District of Columbia. In 2003, she moved to MSNBC, where she worked for a total of four years, including a stint as an anchor for two hours in the morning, as well as guest hosting appearances on programs such as Weekend Today, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, and Morning Joe. In July of 2007, she was given the role of co-anchor for Weekend Today. She made the announcement that she would be heading to ABC News on the 19th of May, 2012, which was her final day on Weekend Today.

Robach made his first television appearance on the morning show “Good Morning America” on ABC. On March 31, 2014, she was promoted to the role of news anchor on the program. Robach was promoted to the position of co-anchor at 20/20 in 2018.

Robach took over as host of the daytime program Pandemic: What You Need to Know on ABC in March 2020. The program was a replacement for Strahan, Sara, and Keke, and it was initially centred on the COVID-19 pandemic that was occurring in the United States. Later, the show became known as GMA3: What You Need to Know, and Robach continued in his role as host even after it took over permanently for Strahan, Sara, and Keke.

On November 2, 2019, Project Veritas published a “hot mic” incident from late August 2019 in which Robach discusses ABC canceling her story on billionaire convicted sex offender and accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in 2015. In the incident, Robach was wearing a microphone. Robach’s remarks came just two days after an NPR story revealed the existence of an on-camera interview with Virginia Roberts Giuffre, but ABC chose not to air it. Robach’s comments came just two days after the story. Giuffre asserts that Epstein exploited her sexually and sold her to influential individuals, including Prince Andrew, Duke of York; however, this allegation has been categorically refuted by the Duke. On the set of ABC’s Good Morning America, Robach was caught using a “hot mic” and can be heard making the following statements in the video:

In the video, Robach can be heard saying, “I’ve had the story for three years.” “That information would not be broadcast by us. First things first, I was questioned about who exactly Jeffrey Epstein was. Nobody has any idea who that is. This is a very ridiculous account. After that, the palace became aware that we had all of her charges regarding Prince Andrew and threatened us in a multitude of various ways.”

Robach goes on to say that Giuffre made references to other people during the interview. These people include former President Bill Clinton, law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz from Harvard University, and Ghislaine Maxwell, who was Epstein’s former girlfriend. Giuffre has brought claims against each of them that are similar, and he has done so in court records. (All of them deny that they did anything improper or were involved in Epstein’s sex trafficking) Giuffre has stated in court documents that she witnessed Clinton in the presence of Epstein, but she did not see Clinton engage in any sexual activity during that time.

On the audio recording, Robach can be heard saying, “I tried for three years to get it out to no effect, and now these fresh revelations — I freaking had all of it.” “Right now I’m so irate it’s not even funny. I mean, it seems like every day I have more and more reasons to be angry because I keep thinking things like, “Oh my God! It was — what we had was unreal.” And so on and so forth.”

Robach went on to say, “One of the reasons an interview with Roberts was not shown was because we were so scared we wouldn’t be able to interview Kate and Will, so I think that had also crushed the story.” This was one of the reasons why an interview with Roberts was not broadcast.

Robach gave a statement in response to the film that was obtained illegally: “During the course of the previous summer, as the Epstein story continued to develop, I found myself caught in a moment of inner frustration as a journalist. It was disappointing to me that an important interview I had conducted with Virginia Roberts was not broadcast on ABC because we were unable to collect sufficient proof to corroborate her charges in a way that satisfied the network’s editorial standards.

My remarks about Prince Andrew and her claim that she had seen Bill Clinton on Epstein’s private island were in reference to what Virginia Roberts said in that interview in 2015. My comments were made in reference to what Virginia Roberts said in that interview in 2015. I was referring to her claims, not to what ABC News had established via its research. The interview itself did not live up to our expectations, despite the fact that I was sad that it was not broadcast. Since that time, no one has ever directed either myself or the team to stop reporting on Jeffrey Epstein, and despite that, we have not let up in our pursuit of this significant subject in any way.”

The following is an excerpt from a statement published by ABC News: “Although some of our reporting did not meet the criteria necessary to be broadcast at the time, we have never ceased investigating the matter. Since that time, we have had a team working on this study, and we have devoted a significant amount of resources to it. Because of this work, a documentary that is two hours long and a podcast that is six parts long are going to be released in the new year.”
