When Daphne went for a swim in the flash-forward that opened the new season, we were all curious to find out whose corpses were floating about in the water and why they were moving. Given the number of disputes that have been building up all throughout the hotel, it is difficult to say who the culprit may be at this moment.

Tanya’s observation of a photograph that seemed to show a young Quentin beside a younger version of Tanya’s husband Greg donning a cowboy hat served as the shocking conclusion to the final episode. (Quentin did admit that he had previously had romantic feelings for an American cowboy.) Is it possible that Quentin has been playing a trick on her this whole time? With the assistance of Greg? Greg did, in fact, vanish for a few days at an opportune time, just as Quentin was making his appearance, and we are aware that Quentin is not as wealthy as he seems to be (and that he also hasn’t been entirely truthful). Tanya may have been the target of Quentin’s plan to use a one-night stand with Niccolo as a means of blackmailing her into giving him a large sum of money and calling off her marriage to Greg. We need answers!

Dom’s naive son Albie, who seems to be madly in love with a local prostitute named Lucia, is the subject of another potential scam operation that is now in the works. She has been telling him about a guy called Alessio who would injure her if she doesn’t pay up; however, is this the whole thing simply an act to milk some quick cash out of a wealthy American kid? (When we met her, it did not seem that any guy was directing her actions in any way.) Beyond the surface level of their nightly interactions, we have our reservations about Lucia having true affections for Albie.

However, as Tanya pointed out in graphic detail, Quentin and Jack have done other things together that uncles and nephews simply don’t do. Quentin presented the brash young Essex kid Jack as his “nephew,” but they’ve done other things together as well. It also looks as if Jack is purposely separating Portia and Tanya from one another, don’t you think so? She is already showing signs of moving on from her infatuation on Jack, but will she ever figure out what’s really going on with the unique bond he has with Uncle Quentin?

Since Ethan started to have suspicions that his wife Harper was having an affair with his adversary Cameron, he has been brimming with jealously ever since then, and he is confident that he is interested in finding out the answer to this issue. (She hasn’t gotten over the fact that Ethan spent the night partying with Cameron while she and Daphne were gone; this has left her seething with rage.) We don’t believe that Harper would cheat on Ethan with Cameron in order to seek revenge on him… But it’s common knowledge that they have a rocky relationship in the bedroom, and she’s been mulling over how best to get her revenge. The moral of the story is, as it has always been, do not cross Aubrey Plaza.

It’s beginning to seem like the douche-y rich man isn’t quite as wealthy as he makes it seem like he is. He was nagging Ethan to spend his newly acquired cash with him, and he has not yet paid Lucia the money he owes her for the night they spent together despite the fact that he has been nagging her about it. Why, if he has the funds, wouldn’t he simply pay her to leave him alone? We have a hunch that Cameron does not currently possess sufficient cash on hand to be able to pay for a trip to the airport at this moment.

As we worked to figure out who had been killed in the flash-forward, we couldn’t help but be a little perplexed by one thing: why aren’t Cameron, Ethan, and Harper on the beach with Daphne? It is strange to see Daphne lying in the sun by herself given that the other three had spent the whole vacation working together on every activity. It’s possible that the final struggle drives a wedge between the four of them. Perhaps even a battle that results in the drowning of one or more of them in the water?

Mia repaid Valentina for the night of love she spent in the hotel room by playing the piano for her while Giuseppe was away and using her feminine wiles to secure a place playing the piano at the hotel bar. Valentina is just beginning to get acclimated to the concept of being in a relationship with a woman, but might she be replacing her feelings for Isabella with those for Mia? Is Mia really using Valentina to get what she wants out of the relationship? This couldn’t possibly work out for the best, can it?

Even if he was a little bit sleazy, the man didn’t deserve to be poisoned with an unknown medicine and then to lose his employment while he is in the hospital recuperating from it. When he discovers that Mia has swooped in and taken his place at the piano, will he be irritated? Or are they just irritated because they were unable to complete the act?

Putting the deceased corpses found floating in the water to the side for a moment, we are a bit concerned about Bert. He is not exactly the image of health, and now he is upset after being loudly rejected by his distant family. He is unhappy since he was rejected by his distant relatives. Is it possible that the elderly man’s heart may give out before he can get out of Sicily?
