SEE Why Mzansi Magic has cancelled The Queen #Mzansi #Magic #cancelled #Queen Welcome to TmZ Blog, here is the new story we have for you today:
After whole six succesful seasons of The Queen, sadly it is coming to an end. No one did think that this Telenovela which is produced by Ferguson Films, will one day come to an end.
There have been complaints yes, from the viewers about the boring storyline but we thought maybe the producers will change it and maybe the channel will have mercy on them.
Truth be told though, when it comes to cancellation of shows, M-Net, which owns Mzansi Magic, does not take chances.
They cancelled the show like nobody’s business. Mzansi Magic values a lot the viewer’s perspectives and like to align with the audience preferences.
We have seen the channel cancelling many shows like Isithembiso and Isibaya.
Isibaya was a popular show and had many viewers, unfortunately it came to an end. Now, The Queen has followed right in its footsteps.

After rumours which Ferguson Films dismissed as fake news but now it has been proven it was true, Mzansi Magic issued a statement on Friday, announcing that they are cancelling The Queen.
In July, The Queen will be recording their last and 7th season which will come to an end in January 2023.
In a statement, the channel strategies for 1 Magic and Mzansi Magic stated that they have been revised to keep abreast with changing audience preferences and the evolving competitor landscape.
For whole 6 years, The Queen has been Mzansi Magic’s weekday 9pm offering since August 2016 and has celebrated unprecedented milestones such as 1000 episodes in August 2020 and a historic crossover episodes with 1 Magic Telenovela The River, which was for the first for the Mnet local productions.
However, last year things changed and viewers started to complain about the boring and non interesting storyline to which they called upon Mzansi Magic to can the show.
This was when it’s co- founder, Shona Ferguson passed away in July. Connie Ferguson, who is the founder and co-producer, also took some break as she was mourning.
The storyline got very bad and lacked direction. After that it has been repeating the same storyline of which the viewers found it very boring.
