On Wednesday night, November 30, the Lincoln Police department reportedly arrested a former interim head coach of Nebraska Cornhuskers, Mickey Joseph, know his wife, salary and net worth

The Lincoln Police department took to their official Twitter to release the statement about the arrest of the 54-year-old as they revealed he was arrested on the complaints of domestic disturbance.

On Wed, Nov 30 @ 1:54pm LPD was dispatched to a home near S 34th & Tree Line Drive on a domestic disturbance. Their statement reads, “On Wed, Nov 30 @ 1:54pm LPD was dispatched to a home near S 34th & Tree Line Drive on a domestic disturbance.

“Upon concluding the investigation, Robert ‘Mickey’ Joseph, age 54 of Lincoln, was arrested for Strangulation and 3rd Degree Domestic Assault. He was lodged in jail.”

As per the investigators, Joseph is presently held at the Nebraska County Jail.

Although as of now there isn’t much information revealed about the domestic dispute. However, after learning the arrest news of the former player, many were dumbfounded as they flooded the social media platform Twitter to express their views.

Who is Mickey Joseph?

For those who are unfamiliar with Mickey Joseph, let us tell you, the former player had played as a quarterback for Nebraska from 1988 to 1991 and was later named as interim coach when Scott Frost was fired 3 games into the season.

Mickey Joseph, whose full name is Robert “Mickey” Joseph is also known as the Associate Head coach and wide receivers coach of Louisiana State University. He served the position at LSU from 2017 to 2021.

In a statement, the athletic director of Nebraska, Trev Alberts has come forward as he revealed, “I was made aware of the charges against Coach Joseph and given the nature of the allegations and based on University policy he has been placed on administrative leave.

He further added that, “We will have no additional comment at this time.”

Although the director does reveal that he was aware of the situation and charges, he didn’t provide much information about whether Joseph will be staying for the next season or not.

For those who are not aware, let us tell you, the former player is married to a 35-year-old woman Priscilla Joseph. The duo shared a 4-year-old son together, Mickey Jr. Mickey Joseph’s contract as interim head coach at Nebraska pays him a monthly stipend of $33,350 on top of his $600,000 salary with his net worth at $1.5 million.
