It is now unknown how many persons were aboard the bomber and the fighter jet that were involved in the accident that occurred during the airshow in Dallas, Texas.

During an air show in the state of Texas, United States of America, two antique military aircraft collided in the air and then plummeted to the ground.

Because of the accident that took place on Saturday, both aircraft crashed into the ground and exploded into a ball of flames, which produced a cloud of smoke to rise into the air.

It was unclear how many individuals had been hurt or killed as a result of the incident.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the planes involved in the incident were a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber from World War II and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra fighter from the 1960s. The event took place during the Wings Over Dallas Airshow at Dallas Executive Airport (FAA).

Airport authorities have reported on Twitter that emergency teams are en route to the scene of the incident; however, the FAA has said that it is still unknown how many passengers were aboard the two planes at the time of the collision.

At a recent press conference, Hank Coates, president and chief executive officer of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF), which is an organization devoted to the preservation of World War Two combat aircraft, said that the crew of a B-17 normally consists of four to five individuals.

Coates said that the P-63 is flown by a single pilot, but he declined to comment on the number of passengers who were on board the aircraft at the time of the accident, their identities, or their conditions.

The aircraft’ mangled remains could be seen on the grass within the airport’s perimeter, according to video obtained by the news media at the site.

According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, there have been no reported injuries among those who were on the ground. This information was provided to The Dallas Morning News.

Anthony Montoya saw the two aircraft coming together and crashing.

“I did nothing except stand there. “I was in total shock and couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” said Montoya, 27, who had attended the air show with a buddy. “Everyone in the vicinity was gasping for air. Everyone suddenly started sobbing uncontrollably. Everyone was taken aback by the news.

Sunday is the day when investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board are scheduled to arrive at the site of the accident that occurred in Dallas.

According to Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, the National Transportation Safety Board had assumed responsibility of the accident site, and local police and fire departments were offering assistance.

Johnson said that the videos were quite upsetting.

The event was documented live on video by users of various social media platforms. The footage shows what seems to be a fighter jet colliding with a bomber, which results in both aircraft crashing to the ground in a short amount of time and kicking up a massive fireball and cloud of smoke.

Aubrey Anne Young, 37, of Leander, Texas, who saw the incident, said that it was “extremely traumatic” to watch what happened. During the event, her children and their father were in the hangar together when everything took place. “I’m still working through it to figure out what it all means.”

For many years, there has been a worry over the safety of air shows, especially when outdated military aircraft are involved. When a P-51 Mustang crashed into spectators in Reno, Nevada, in 2011, 11 individuals lost their lives as a result. In the year 2019, a bomber that had crashed in Hartford, Connecticut, was responsible for the deaths of seven persons.
