John Terry labelled Luis Diaz as a ‘fantastic player’ on the Liverpool star’s Instagram after he helped his side beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final on penalties.

The Chelsea legend stated that he was ‘absolutely devastated’ by the penalty shootout defeat at Wembley on Saturday.

In the comments section of Diaz’s Instagram post, he sent the following message to the January signing.

“@luisdiaz absolutely devastated,” said Terry. “But you are a fantastic player my friend.”

Usually, bringing in players during the winter transfer window could prove to be pretty difficult and a risk.

But, not for Diaz, who already has a League Cup and FA Cup medal to his name, yet he has only been in England for a matter of months.

This Liverpool team is already full of energy, they are all-action, aggressive and in your face.

Yet this 25-year-old winger from Colombia has managed to take that to another level by bringing his own energy levels to Merseyside.

South American players, from Alexis Sanchez to Luis Suarez have this unique in-your-face style about them and Diaz is no different.

The two medals he has around his neck are proof that he is one of the best January purchases ever.

What’s even better is that he can possibly add a Premier League title to his name – although that seems unlikely given how Manchester City are playing.

But they have a seriously good chance of winning a seventh European Cup in Paris when they lock horns with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
