There is a major difference between teams who want to be NBA champions and those who prove on the court that they can be champions.

That difference could be spotted in both of Wednesday night’s Game 5s in the NBA playoffs, as the Golden State Warriors were thrashed by the Memphis Grizzlies and the Milwaukee Bucks grabbed a huge win away at the Boston Celtics.

To win an NBA championship, a team should be consistent throughout the playoffs and ready to face every opponent and potential matchup.

Is this how Curry intends to win another championship?

Memphis improved on defense for ten minutes and from that point on the Warriors gave up, with Stephen Curry scoring just 14 points (4/10 FG). Beating Devin Booker and Chris Paul‘s Phoenix Suns in the next round could prove to be an impossible task if they produce such performances in the Western Conference finals.

A 39-point difference without Ja Morant

Despite Ja Morant‘s absence due to injury, the Grizzlies managed to overcome the Warriors without their star man. After coming close to winning Game 4 in the series, Memphis produced an outstanding display in Game 5.

Holiday and Giannis can lead the Bucks to back-to-back titles

Giannis Antetokounmpo put in an extraordinary performance against Boston at TD Garden, where he scored as many as 40 points. Meanwhile, Jrue Holiday was decisive in certain plays at the closing stages of the game to lead the Bucks to the victory, which puts them 3-2 up in the series.

The Celtics are close to being eliminated

Boston have been brilliant in the playoffs, but beating the reigning NBA champions is not an easy task. Despite boasting the best defense in the league, the Celtics didn’t have any answers when it came to dealing with the Bucks in transition.
