On Thursday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers and Brooklyn Nets are facing off in Oregon.

During the first half, rookie Shaedon Sharpe threw down a massive dunk that is going viral on Twitter.

Jerami Grant lobbed a pass in the air to Sharpe that he threw down before Yuta Watanabe could get there in time to protect the rim.

Sharpe was the seventh-overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft this past summer and is averaging 9.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest in his first 13 NBA games.

He is playing a key role on one of the best teams in the NBA because the Trail Blazers entered the night with the best record in the Western Conference.

They are currently 10-4 in their first 14 games and 6-2 in eight games at home in Oregon.

The best game of Sharpe’s young career came on Nov. 9 in North Carolina against the Charlotte Hornets.

He put up 17 points and four rebounds on an impressive 7/10 shooting in 29 minutes of playing time.

At just 19 years old, he likely has a very bright future in the NBA, and the Trail Blazers look like they made a great pick.

As for the Nets, they came into the night with a 6-9 record in their first 15 games, which has them tied with the Chicago Bulls for the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference.

Currently, they are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and 3-5 in the eight games they have played on the road.
