The Callisto Protocol comes out very soon, and the developers have revealed the game length and how long it should take to beat the main story.

There are no reviews for The Callisto Protocol as of writing, but the forthcoming horror game is incredibly exciting. Two hours of gameplay have leaked online ahead of launch, and the game looks fantastic with its obvious Dead Space influence.

It comes out very soon and the campaign has a decent running time.

How long does it take to beat The Callisto Protocol?

The Callisto Protocol story is 12 to 14 hours long to beat.

This comes courtesy of Striking Distance Studios head, Glen Schofield, in Edge Magazine issue #377 (via loadout). While it should take 14 hours to complete the story, it’s also noted that there are optional ‘beta paths’ and that there are weapons to fully upgrade.

Away from the developer’s comments, powerpyx has revealed three different lengths based on difficulty settings:

Easy Difficulty = 8-12 HoursMedium Difficulty = 9-14 HoursMaximum Security Difficulty (Hard) = 12-15 Hours

If you wish to platinum the game, powerpyx says you can do this in one playthrough on Maxium Security difficulty. They claim there are no side quests or tasks beyond finding 43 Data-Bios, and that maps are quite linear and ‘basically one corridor after another’.

Editions and bonuses

The pre-order bonuses for every edition of The Callisto Protocol is as follows:

Know that there is a Standard PS4 and Xbox edition for £49.99, meanwhile there is a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version with the last-gen counterparts included for £54.99.

In addition, there is also a Digital Deluxe edition exclusive to last-gen consoles for £64.99, with another Deluxe edition available for £74.99 including the PS4, PS5 experiences, and same with Xbox One, Series X/S.

Both Deluxe editions simply include the Season Pass. As for Steam, there is only version of the Day One and Digital Deluxe editions.
