The popular Australian Farming legend, the creator of the beloved pink lady apple John Cripps passed away. John Cripps breathed his last on Tuesday 10 May in Western Australia. The Australian gem John Cripps was 95 years old at the time he breathed his last. The news about his unfortunate demise was confirmed by his daughter Helen. Helen paid her hearty tributes and homage to her legend father on the ABC radio this week. While speaking on the radio she started a lot about her father and told the world about the hard work and dedication he had for his research and creation.

Helen stated that it took 25 years for her father to research and create the beloved pink lady apple. She said John worked for 25 years for making the beloved pink lady apple right. She said her father was an achiever and he always loved being outdoor. She stated that his father used to taste a lot of apples during his research and development of the pink lady apple, she also stated that during all this many times his father suffered from stomach complaints as he had to taste so many samples of apples.

Helen continued and stated that her father worked very hard and it is because of his mind, hard work, and dedication, that the Pink Lady brand’s apple is here and so successful in the market. She also stated she is extremely proud of his late father’s achievements and creations. She is extremely humbled and proud of his father’s legacy. Helen also revealed that his father’s life in horticulture began while he was growing up in England during the time of World War II.

John had also served the position in the agriculture department in Western Australia and during that time he began to breed apples. John Cripps’s creation of the pink lady variety is listed in the list of the top 100 greatest inventions of Australia. John was honored with many awards and honors. He received many awards and appreciation from the people for his creation and knowledge. He was also named an officer in the order of Australia in the year 2015 for his extraordinary contribution to Agriculture. This was inducted into the hall of fame of the royal Agriculture society of West Australia.
