July 23, Kathmandu. German club Borussia Dortmund have signed Ajax forward Sebastian Heller.
Dortmund have signed Ivory Coast’s Heller for 31 million euros following the signing of Earling Holland Premier League champions Manchester City.
Heller, 28, is returning to Germany after three years. He had previously played for Entrat Frankfurt from 2017 to 19. He then played for West Ham for two seasons before reaching Ajax in the Netherlands.
Heller has been signed by Dortmund for four years.
Heller said he was eager to play in front of 80,000 spectators after signing for Dortmund. “I’m looking forward to seeing the support of more than 80,000 viewers in the future,” Heller said.
During his 18 months at Ajax, Heller scored 47 goals in 66 games. He scored 11 goals in the Champions League last season and even broke some records.
He scored 11 goals in seven games. He was the second highest scorer in the Champions League group stage after Cristiano Ronaldo.
Dortmund’s new sporting director Sebastian Khel has said he is happy to sign Heller, who has caused a sensation in the Champions League.
Heller will now wear the number 9 jersey worn by Dortmund’s Holland. Holland has reached City from Dortmund.
