On June 9, a dissident member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party who was also a member of the National Assembly (MNA) named Liaquat died dead in Karachi. The news of his untimely passing under suspicious circumstances came as a shock to the media business, and individuals expressed their wrath at the social media trolls who had harassed the prominent TV personality over his failed third marriage. His passing happened under unexplained circumstances.
The son of the deceased anchor was the one to collect his corpse, and Chippa was the one who performed the funeral rituals. A cemetery located on the grounds of the Abdullah Shah Ghazi mausoleum in Clifton, Karachi, was chosen as the last resting place for Hussain.
In later years, there was debate on the exhumation of his body in order to determine the cause of death; however, the practice was never carried out since a judge decided against it.
