She is running for re-election to Congress in 2022, and on April 18, 2022, a group of Georgia residents obtained the right to challenge her eligibility to vote by challenging her on the ballot. The initiative relies on a constitutional clause dating back to the Civil War that makes it illegal for former Confederate soldiers to occupy public office. In May of 2022, they finally gave up on the appeal.
She has previously garnered media attention for her divisive anti-mask stance and the astronomical penalties she has incurred for defying the law.

She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in business administration in 1996.
She has three children with her husband Perry Greene, whom she wed in August of 1995. In September 2022, Perry Greene filed for divorce, alleging irretrievable breakdown, as reported by The Hill. Equal though he wants to keep the divorce procedures private so that his finances don’t become public, the divorce petition calls for an even split of property.
She now serves as the national director of the Family America Project.
Greene was in the news because he reportedly claimed two different properties as his main residences in Georgia, despite the fact that residents of the state may only do so lawfully for one property. As reported by WSB-TV in Atlanta, Greene already owned a house in North Fulton county when she bought a second, $610,000 property in her Congressional district in 2020.
