Christina Hall

Christina Hall visited HGTV Santa’s headquarters at Lakewood Center in 2014.

Christina Hall is clearing up any confusion as to why her youngest son, Hudson, is no longer appearing on her Instagram account. To address the ongoing drama, the HGTV star shared a final statement in her Instagram story on November 28, 2022.

In her statement, Hall explained that it was her decision to stop sharing photos of the 3-year-old and it was a decision she made out of exhaustion. Though she’s never named her second husband, Ant Anstead, the Christina on the Coast star wrote on her Instagram Story that the social media platform is being used as a “tool against me.”

The former couple have been publicly at odds since Anstead filed for custody of Hudson in April 2022. Us weekly reports The former couple were able to finalize their custody agreement out of court. However, in a court filing seen by the publication, Anstead fears Hudson is being “exploited” for use in Instagram ads and Hall’s HGTV shows.

But Hall claims in her Instagram statement that it’s not about publicity, it’s about Anstead’s attempts at control.

“This has nothing to do with advertising, people need to realize that this is all unrelated to advertising,” Hall wrote in her Instagram statement. “This is about CONTROL. There are many things I no longer agreed with. Instagram was used as a tool against me to judge what kind of mom I was and I was fed up with it. Every photo I’ve posted of Hudson on my story or main page has been a screenshot and has been disassembled.”

Hall’s full statement on Instagram reads:

“This will be the last time I speak on this… There is so much confusion and misinformation about Hudson’s photos. People here tell me she was never told not to post…um, right…I never said that! I was NOT told I couldn’t post Hudson anymore… I was told NOTHING by a judge because I’ve never been in front of a judge. I chose not to post Hudson because I was exhausted with Instagram being used as a tool against me. This has nothing to do with advertising, people have to realize that this has nothing to do with advertising. This is about CONTROL. There are many things I no longer agreed with. Instagram was used as a tool against me to judge what kind of mom I was and I was fed up with it. Every photo I’ve posted of Hudson on my story or main page has been a screenshot and has been disassembled. So I choose not to post Hudson. Now the ‘now everything’ can please go back to his side. Many Thanks.”

Christina Hall announced that Hudson would no longer appear on her Instagram in October 2022

The “Christina in the Country” star first announced that she would no longer post Hudson on social media in an Instagram post on October 2, 2022.

“I’ve always been fine when Hudson wasn’t appearing on public platforms and I’ve made that clear,” she wrote on Instagram. “My only reason to have him perform on my shows has always been to participate in the fun activities/outings with our family/siblings.”

Hall also shares daughter Taylor, 12, and son Brayden, 7, with her first husband Tarek El Moussa. She secretly married Josh Hall in April 2022, and the couple had a Hawaiian ceremony in September 2022.

Ant Anstead claims Christina Hall made her drama public

According to Anstead, it’s Hall who made their conflict public. In October 2022, the Wheeler Dealers responded to criticism for still posting photos of Hudson on Instagram.

“How come you can post pictures of Hudson but not Christina?” wrote one commenter. “That doesn’t seem fair. If putting him in here is exploitative for one of you, isn’t it exploitative for both of you? Food for thought.”

Anstead replied: “I wrote to her privately on April 21st (this letter is on my April 28th file) and it took 25 weeks for her to finally agree. She could have agreed behind closed doors 25 weeks ago and no one would know. Certain people get angry when they are held accountable for something they definitely did x.”

According to Us Weekly, in the court filing, the host of “Celebrity IOU Joyride” wants Hudson’s childhood to be “happy, healthy and natural” without “commercial opportunity and content” as a priority.

Anstead was referring to the death of “Toddlers & Tiaras” alum Kailia Posey, who committed suicide, according to Us Weekly.

“The risks to a child working on a television production set (even if that ‘set’ is Christina’s home) are countless and well documented,” Anstead continued in court filings obtained by Us Weekly. “Aside from the obvious pressures of working in a television production environment, children involved in a television production often have ongoing issues that affect their well-being, worldview and self-image, leaving them debilitated and dependent on others’ perceived approval of them are themselves. Value.”
