Kevin Hatchard says Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa transfer target Arnaut Danjuma is a ‘really good dynamic’ player.

The European football expert added that Villarreal are ‘fishing for a deal’ for their winger, who is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs, including Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.

Danjuma has tasted Premier League football before, after repping Bournemouth under Eddie Howe, prior to their relegation to the Championship.

Since then, he has made huge strides in his career, including reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League last season under the stewardship of Emery.

Could Emery’s past relationship with the 25-year-old work in Villa’s favour? Well, he certainly fits the bill in the Midlands.

European football expert Hatchard provided a lowdown on Danjuma, as he nears a move to the Premier League, as he told Transfer Talk on Sky Sports.

“Villarreal are fishing for a deal, they will be happy to loan him out with the promise of money down the track,” said Hatchard.

“He had a really good season as they got to the semi-finals of the Champions League. He was a big, big part of what they did. He’s always talked about the lure of the Premier League. He has always talked about wanting to go back to England.

“If we get the Danjuma we got last season, who was playing consistently, Unai Emery’s not there anymore. I think there is a really good dynamic player, who can play wide and he can play through the middle. We saw in the Champions League, he definitely stepped up.”

Tottenham’s issues aren’t in attack, in fact, it could be argued that if Spurs were to sign him, then he wouldn’t start.

Given that Daniel Levy isn’t one to hand money out easily, then a right-sided wing-back and a centre-back are needed more this month for Antonio Conte than a forward player.

For Villa and Emery, they are looking for a player in the profile of Leon Bailey to provide added depth to the team.

Someone like Danjuma ticks those boxes and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he does end up at Villa Park.
